I've seen this cool helmet! Can you paint the exact same, just with my name on it?

No! I do not copy someone else's designs. For me, the fun and challenge lies in creating original helmets. Of course it is possible to take inspiration from other peoples helmets but I'm always looking for authentic results.

I have my helmet design made by another designer. Can you paint it for me?

Sure! If the design is made for you and your designer agrees with it, then it is possible to have it painted by me.

Will the result be exactly the same as on screen?

No, unfortunately it will not, for various reasons. Colors for example will always look different in reality as compared to on screen. Also, little differences may occur because of all the work being handmade and the conversion from digital design to the actual helmet, being a 3D curved object. But of course, I will do my absolute best to match all things as exactly as possible!

When can I have my helmet painted?

I usually have a waiting list with a couple of helmets. Especially during winter time the waiting can go up to several months. So it is important to contact me well ahead if you need a helmet finished before a certain date or event. Please contact me to get details on the current waiting time.

How can I get on the waiting list?

I'll book your project in as soon as I have received your helmet and all parts that need painting. This enables me to start preparing the helmet for the paint job when I have time. It is also possible to get on the list by paying a downpayment.

How long does it take to paint my helmet?

Painting a helmet usually takes about 2-3 weeks once I get started. But this would depend on the complexity of the paint job and the number of projects I'm working on.

Can I skip the line?

If you're really in a hurry then sometimes it is possible to get you served immediately. But a "rush fee" will be charged since this would mean working overtime for me, because I don't want to push back projects for any customers on the waiting list.

How much does it cost?

The pricing for design and paint depend on the complexity of the design and the paint job. I offer detailed digital helmet design services starting at € 150,00. Design and paint with your name on both sides of the helmet all together generally costs somewhere between € 1.250 and € 1.750. Painting of logo's, racing number and aero parts like wings are charged separately. For orders outside the EU additional customs and local taxes may apply.

Can I get a quote?

Of course, I'm happy to provide you with a free quote. For this I would need to receive as much information as possible. So please make sure to describe your wishes regarding the helmet in as much detail as possible like helmet brand and model, the use of colors, logo's, racing numbers and aero parts that you would like to have painted. It also helps if you add a couple of pictures of helmet designs that you fancy. This way I can determine the design style that you like.

What type of helmets do you paint?

I only paint helmets which are certified for autosport and karting. I DO NOT paint other helmets like motorcycle helmets, bike helmets or ski helmets.

Which helmet brands do you paint?

I mostly paint Arai, Bell, Stilo and Schuberth helmets. Occasionally I paint Sparco and Zamp helmets.

Can I buy a helmet and accessories from you?

I'm not a dealer for the brands listed above and preferably you buy the helmet yourself before sending it over. It is not recommended to buy your helmet online, without trying it on first. It is very important that your helmet fits properly. Not only so that it feels comfortable wearing it but also because of safety! If you are absolutely 100% sure of the helmet and size that you need then I could order one for you.
